Description:
The hand-carved wooden shield, made of black walnut and gold leaf, bears the Cuneo family crest. With elaborate half-moon faces, griffins and cherubs, the crest measures 7.5 feet tall by 6.5 feet wide and weighs 350 pounds. It is in the entrance to Cuneo Hall and was created in honor of the Cuneo family, who have generously supported the University over the years.
