Participatory Budgeting Murals
1405 W. Touhy Ave. (South Wall)
‘Urban Oasis’ blends the architecture of the Rogers Park area with an imagined intervention of the natural world. Flora and fauna burst forth from urban structures in a playful discussion of the importance of city green space. Leah Tumerman currently makes figurative and feminist art from a studio space in Oakland, California. She has an MFAW from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where she lived happily for seven years.
