Howard Street Evanston Special Service Area #10 

Howard Street Evanston Special Service Area (SSA) #10 includes includes properties along the north side of Howard Street, between Paulina Street (Howard CTA Station) and Asbury Avenue. The SSA must be contiguous, so it includes parcels which extend north to Oakton Street via the Union Pacific Railroad. The SSA has provided programs and services in the commercial district since 2025.

Commissioners

All Commissioners are elected and serve two year terms. They have to be in good standing with the City of Evanston. The Commission determines the budget, workplan and sole service provider each year.
